Résumé
The aim of this study is to carry out an empirical analysis of the investment and disinvestment operations in France based on the data collected by The Investment Observatory. We show that relocation operations (from France to another country) have a very low impact whether in terms of number of operations or jobs involved. We then evaluate the probability to observe investments or disinvestments as well as the probability to observe different categories of investments (creation and extension of a site) and disinvestments (lay-offs, the shutdown of a production site).
