The University of Toulouse, Toulouse Métropole, and the Occitanie Region will host the 34th edition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) from September 17 to 20, 2024, in Toulouse. The EAIE is the European center of expertise, networking, and resources for the internationalization of higher education. This nonprofit organization, founded in 1989, actively supports the internationalization of higher education institutions.

Since its inception, only two editions of the EAIE conference have taken place in France: in La Grande-Motte in 1991 and in Nantes in 2010.

This edition will bring together over 6,500 participants from 95 countries for 3.5 days at the Parc des Expositions and Convention Center of Toulouse Métropole, the MEETT. The event will feature campus visits, conferences, experience-sharing workshops, and meetings among professionals in European and international relations. The goal is to enhance exchanges and promote the internationalization of French higher education through a series of conferences and numerous networking opportunities.

As part of this event, the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) will organize the "Campus Talks" and host a conference titled "Higher Education and Immigration." led by Paul Seabright, a distinguished economist from TSE, and will explore the interactions between higher education and migration dynamics.
