Biography
Alexandros Gelastopoulos is a research fellow at IAST and affiliated researcher at the University of Southern Denmark. He is a mathematician by training (PhD from Boston University), and he uses mathematical modeling to study biological and social systems. In recent work, he applies the theory of probability and stochastic processes to study reinforcement processes in the social sciences, in particular cumulative advantage and ranking-based reinforcement. He works with an extensive network of collaborators with complementary expertise in the social and behavioral sciences.
