Biography
Marie Beigelman is an applied economist working in Economic History, Development and Political Economy. She holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona, and Master's degree from the Paris School of Economics and ENSAE Paristech. She is currently a research fellow at IAST and will join King's College London as an Assistant Professor (Department of Political Economy) in 2025. Her current projects explore the lasting consequences of violence during colonial slavery in the Carribean, and gender-based violence in contemporary settings. She uses state-of-the-art AI methods for document understanding.
